On September 11, the tugboat “Nail Yunusov” was launched at the
Samusky Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant (SSRP) in the Tomsk Region.
The vessel is being built by order of JSC “Taimyrgeofizika” –
a subsidiary of JSC “Bashneftegeofizika”, according to a statement from
the geophysical service company. The ceremony was attended
by Alexey Kondratyev,
Chairman of the Government of the Tomsk Region, his deputies Vasily Potemkin and Sergey Prudius, Nikolai Vdovenko, Director of the Samusky
Shipbuilding and Repair Yard, and the plant’s staff, Ilshat Ramazanov, Director of JSC “Taimyrgeofizika,” as well as representatives
of the regional Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.
The new tugboat became the 93rd shipbuilding facility in the 147‑year history of the Samusky Shipyard. The vessel is named after an honorary veteran
of Bashneftegeofizika, a man whose name is associated with the history and development of the industry.
For Taimyrgeofizika, the new tug is, first and foremost, a long‑awaited replacement for the outdated vessel. As the company’s director,
Ilshat Ramazanov, said, the predecessor of the new tug was built back in 1961. Now it will be replaced by a modern vessel designed to operate
on Siberian waterways and in the conditions of the North. Special attention was paid to the draft during the design. The tug has a minimal draft,
which allows it to operate on shallow rivers and navigate sections with challenging navigation conditions. The operation in conditions of sparse
broken ice is also envisaged.
The main task of the tug is to transport equipment, house cars and other cargo, as well as to service the permanent bases of Taimyrgeofizika.
After being launched, the tug will undergo mooring and sea trials. It is planned to hand over the vessel to the staff of Taimyrgeofizika in 2027 —
the anniversary year for JSC Bashneftegeofizika.
