Manufacturer of chopping devices for ships and berths

USC has presented a comprehensive range of vessels for operation on the Northern Sea Route.

The United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) presented at the IV Arctic –
Regions forum a range of existing and prospective projects for operation
on the Northern Sea Route (NSR), development of the Arctic shelf,
support for northern supply chains, and development of expeditionary shipping.
Details were reported to Sudostroenie.info by the corporation’s press service.

The range includes nuclear and diesel‑electric icebreakers, cargo and support vessels, an emergency rescue fleet,
shelf equipment, tugs, and passenger ice‑class vessels. Today, the backbone of Russia’s icebreaker fleet consists of universal nuclear‑powered
icebreakers of Project 22220. Four vessels of this series have already been built, and three more are under construction. The length
of a Project 22220 icebreaker is 173.3 metres, its power is 60 MW, and its ice‑breaking capacity is up to 2.8 metres. To address the tasks
of escorting vessels and ensuring year‑round navigation in Arctic waters, USC also has the expertise to build linear diesel‑electric icebreakers
of Projects 22600 and 21900M. The promising lineup includes a port icebreaker of Project 00905 and a linear diesel‑electric icebreaker
of Project 21900M2.

A separate area of focus is the fleet for ensuring maritime safety. USC is building emergency rescue vessels of the MPSV06M project,
which are designed for search and rescue operations, emergency response, towing, and providing assistance to vessels in challenging climatic conditions.
The advanced lineup includes an emergency rescue vessel of the IRV05 project. The Corporation is developing solutions for supplying remote areas
and developing the shelf. Among the implemented projects are icebreaking support vessels of projects ARC121 and ARC130, the offshore ice‑resistant fixed
platform “Prirazlomnaya”, and the self‑elevating floating drilling rig “Arkticheskaya”. Promising projects include a vessel for underwater technical work at
offshore oil and gas fields, a supply vessel for offshore drilling rigs of project 22450, a semi‑submersible vessel for transporting heavy and oversized cargo,
and a self‑propelled hold dredger of project 05470.

To ensure transportation via the Northern Sea Route, USC is working on designs for cargo vessels of high ice class. Among them are Arc7 ice‑class vessels:
universal platforms — an Arctic container ship with a capacity of 4,800 TEU and a dry cargo ship; an Arctic gas carrier with a cargo capacity
of 174,000 cubic metres; and a universal supply vessel.
