At the Amur Shipbuilding Plant (ASZ) of the United Shipbuilding Corporation,
construction of the floating transport dock “Amur” of project 17574 is ongoing.
The shipyard’s press service informed Sudostroenie.info about the progress
of the work on February 1. According to the builder, the slipway shop has
currently set up the slipways for forming the blocks of the first stage;
work is underway to form two blocks and fill them. To date, the shipbuilders
have manufactured 39 sections of the order.
At the same time, work continues on metal cutting, the manufacture of bottom and side sections, and their painting.
The main long‑cycle equipment of the dock has been contracted. The floating transport dock “Amur” is the second dock in the USC docking program,
being built at the Amur Shipbuilding Plant. In July 2025, Amur shipbuilders raised the flag on the launching pontoon dock “Amurets”.
The USC dock program is aimed at the construction of new and modernization of existing ship-lifting and hydraulic engineering structures
of the corporation's enterprises under the advanced financing scheme. The program is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Industry
and Trade of Russia, they add on the ASZ.
The floating transport dock of project 17574 Amur was designed by the Central Marine Design Bureau of USC Almaz. The fundamentally
new floating facility will increase the efficiency of the ASZ and expand the range of orders under construction. It will be characterized by
increased seaworthiness and will ensure the transportation of various types of floating structures along the Amur River from their place
of construction to Vladivostok.
The laying of the “Amur” transport dock took place at the Amur Shipbuilding Plant on July 5, 2024.
